Since Cyclone 3DR 2026.1.2, scripts are no longer limited to working only with data and functions already inside Cyclone 3DR. They can now communicate with online services, wait for data, organise code into reusable modules, and even run compiled high-performance code.
This videos show an example, where after defining an area, the script:
– connects to the IGN online service,
– discovers the required terrain tiles,
– downloads the binary GeoTIFF data,
– dynamically loads a JavaScript module to decode it,
– converts the elevations to XYZ points,
– creates the corresponding point clouds directly in Cyclone 3DR.
