Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage vs VMware vSphere.

Total cost of the outage could reach hundreds of billions of dollars, people cut costs and cut corners to try to get an application up but didn’t really protect against an outage. A public cloud isn’t always the answer because it can limit control, raise security concerns for sensitive data, and sometimes be more expensive or less performant for specific workloads.

VMware Private Cloud: Provides greater control and security for organizations that need to keep their data and applications in a dedicated environment.

VMware Hybrid Cloud: Combines public and private clouds, allowing organizations to use the public cloud for scalable, less sensitive workloads while keeping critical data and applications in a private cloud.

VMware On-Premises: For certain workloads, a traditional on-premises setup might still be the most cost-effective and efficient solution if a company can manage its own infrastructure.

This latest AWS outage just prove why it’s important and safer for companies to host it’s own on-premise private cloud or locally. Training is key!!!
